It and was named after splashes of the falls like a white beard. It is a rare waterfall in Japan because underground water drops and cascades from cracks in rocks. It is also known as the “White Beard Waterfall,” the cascading water turns cobalt blue in the basin. Nemophila is a genus found in the flowering plant family Boraginaceae. Most of the species in Nemophila contain the phrase “baby blue eyes” in their common names. N. menziesii has the common name of “baby blue eyes. Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park is the southernmost national park in Japan.
